Alberta Ballet Community Summer Camps | Edmonton Kids Dance Camp

No pointe shoes. No pressure. No experience needed. Alberta Ballet Community brings its beginner-friendly summer camps to its Edmonton studio this summer — a week of ballet, movement, and made-up games where the only prerequisite is a kid with energy to burn.

Taught by the community wing of one of Canada's professional ballet companies, these camps trade recital-day nerves for a supportive, low-key room where little dancers just get to move. Two age groups, two weeks, and spots that go fast once the summer guides drop.

Summer Camp Programming

  • Ballet Basics | Daily ballet classes built for first-timers — posture, positions, and the fun of moving to music, no background required.

  • Contemporary & Jazz | An introduction to contemporary and jazz technique, loosening things up beyond the barre.

  • Creative Movement | Imagination-led movement and improv games that get kids exploring how their bodies move.

  • Body Conditioning | Gentle, age-appropriate strength and flexibility work to keep young dancers moving safely.

  • Workshops & Activities | Rotating dance-themed workshops and other fun activities to break up the day and keep it playful.
