Pond parties are a way for residents to learn about Strathcona County's stormwater facilities and their ecological benefits. Pond parties have activities for all to make learning about our local water ecosystem fun.

It’s a tough life being a noodle, but Alberta’s snakes have amazing super-powers to live in extreme places and face big dangers. In this indoor family presentation, we will explore the amazing diversity of Alberta’s snake species, snake myth-busting and how to stay safe when being near them. Our park animal ambassadors Puzzle and/or Riddle might even make an appearance!

The Art Buffet is the Mitchell Art Gallery’s own “art hive”, a concept developed over two decades of research by Dr. Janis Timm-Bottos rooted in ideas of art therapy and inclusivity. Every Wednesday, we gather and invite the community to join us in self-directed, no-pressure art-making, where we provide the materials and the encouragement!

The city of Edmonton is rich in birdlife! Come learn about some of our local birds with the Royal Alberta Museum and how the City is creating habitat for our feathered friends with Root for Trees! We'll also take a guided nature walk with Edmonton Nature Club and Bird Dreams. There's lots to explore!

Marlin, a clown fish, is overly cautious with his son, Nemo, who has a foreshortened fin. When Nemo swims too close to the surface to prove himself, he is caught by a diver, and, horrified, Marlin must set out to find him. A blue reef fish named Dory -- who has a really short memory -- joins Marlin and complicates the encounters with sharks, jellyfish, and a host of ocean dangers.
