Spruce Grove AGRA Fair and Midway
Agra Fair returns to Spruce Grove September 11–13, and it's three days packed with the kind of old-fashioned fair fun that's hard to find anymore.
Kids can burn off energy on the carnival midway, meet the animals at the petting zoo and Hero Zone, and cheer on the Rooster Crow and Frog Jump contests. There's a pancake breakfast to start the day right, plus food trucks and concessions if you're sticking around for lunch or dinner.
For the grown-ups (and curious kids too), Alberta's second-largest Bench Show is worth a wander, and the car show has expanded this year with even more vehicles on display. The Mayors' Challenge adds some friendly community competition to the weekend.
Evenings bring live music to the main stage: Silly Wrabbit plays Friday, September 11 from 7:30 to 10:30 PM with a mix of classic rock and today's hits, and Jordyn Pollard takes over Saturday, September 12, same time, with catchy country-pop.
It's the kind of weekend where you can show up for an hour or plan your whole day around it — either way, there's plenty to see and do as a family.
