Kensington Community League is back with its second annual Trunk or Treat, and last year's turnout has organizers expecting another big crowd. Decorated vehicles fill the parking lot, drivers hand out treats from their trunks, and families walk car to car collecting candy — costumes very much encouraged.
The event runs Sunday, October 25 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Kensington Community Hall parking lot at 12130 134B Avenue.
It's free and open to all neighbours, decorated trunk or not. Families planning to bring kids, or drivers who want to decorate a trunk, are asked to RSVP to Angie Lee at angie.lee@kensingtoncl.ca so organizers can plan treat counts.
A related Halloween Dance follows the next night, Saturday, October 24 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. inside the hall, with a DJ, pizza, costumes, and prizes.
