    St. Albert’s winter festival, The Snowflake Festival, is back for 2025 Taking place on Perron Street, St. Thomas Street and at St. Albert Place!  Friday November 28th from 5:30 p.m. - 9p.m.

  • Light up the Night Christmas Festival in Morinville | All weekend
    Kick off the season with a three-day festival filled with holiday fun. Activities include a town parade featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus, Lite Up the Park, a spectacular high-level firework display, crafts, games, live entertainment, a family dance and a free holiday skate.

    The Annual Santa Claus Parade will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025!   • Light Up Fort Saskatchewan Festival | 5:15 p.m.
    Is your family looking for a fun, safe, and free way to celebrate the holiday season? We have the event for you! Join thh fun for our annual Lights Up! celebration presented by Inter Pipeline, taking place at City Hall from 5:15 to 7:30 pm.

  • Leduc County Lights OPENS for the Season |
    Leduc Country Lights opens for the season. This walk through lights display spans a massive area outside of the city - and is $3/person to enjoy. Immerse yourself with the holiday spirit that will prove to become a tradition for your family, as it has with many families over the last 15 years.

    This week’s Cineplex Family Favourite features two short films: An Elf's Story (26 mins) Chippy is assigned to a family that includes a boy who is questioning the magic of Christmas. When Chippy finds the assignment a bit challenging, his good friends, Santa, and an unexpected child help him remember why his job is important.

  • FREE City of Edmonton Play Rangers | 1:30 p.m.
    Play Rangers focuses on children and family participation, with special outdoor recreational activities that can be enjoyed by all. Children (ages 6-12) are welcome to attend on their own.

  • Winter Celebration at Historic McKay Avenue School | 2:00
    Get ready to step back in time and experience the magic of Winter Celebration at the Historic McKay Avenue School Archives and Museum!

  • FREE Kids Coding Workshop with Sneaky Sasquatch | 2:30 p.m.

  • Light up Festival in Central Park | 3:00 p.m.
    Our 2025 Light Up celebration is on Saturday, November 29 from 3-6:30 p.m.! Join us for this annual, family-friendly event, and watch as Central Park is magically transformed into a sparkling spectacle of light. 

  • Santa’s Food Bank Drive at Twice Cream | 3:45 p.m.
    Santa is coming to Twice Cream for our annual Santa Food Bank Drive, sponsored by Timberhaus. Join us on Saturday, November 29th, from 3:45 p.m. to 6 p.m. Santa will arrive right at 3:45 p.m., followed by horse-drawn wagon rides from 4 to 6 p.m. Guests can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and a wiener roast throughout the event.

  • Winter Whyte Holiday Light Up | 4:00 p.m.
    Join this winter celebration in the heart of Old Strathcona at Winter Whyte Light Up! Kick-off the holiday season with live performances, twinkling lights, cultural experiences, ice carving, rides on the streetcar, and more.

  • Lite Up the Nite Fireworks in Morinville | 7:00 p.m.
    Lite Up the Nite is an annual celebration of family, community, and the holiday season delivered by the Town of Morinville and many dedicated community organization partners. Planned with young and old in mind, this event offers many wonderful, free activities to connect neighbors, friends, and families in the spirit of the holiday season.

    Families, come create holiday cheer with the Peanuts gang. Enjoy clips from the beloved A Charlie Brown Christmas special and the Apple Original series The Snoopy Show. Then share your favorite traditions and draw your own festive scene using Pages on iPad with Apple Pencil Pro. Devices provided. Not available in Quebec.
