Before your jack-o’-lantern hits the compost, give it one last moment of glory. Strathcona County Emergency Services is hosting a pumpkin drop from the hose tower at Fire Station 6 in Sherwood Park, with donations going to Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

Bring your pumpkins along, make a donation, and watch them fall from the top of the tower. Carved pumpkins are welcome, but they need to be free of paint, wax, toothpicks, metal or anything else added. Please don’t drop pumpkins off ahead of the event.

Can’t make it? You can still donate through the Muscular Dystrophy Canada website.
