Presented by the St. Albert Kinsmen, the Snowflake Festival lights up downtown St. Albert to kick off the holiday season. Wander the Perron District aglow with Christmas lights, and take in a full evening of family-friendly festivities.

There's plenty to keep the whole crew busy: horse-drawn sleigh rides with Lonestar Ranch, train rides, two petting zoos, photos with Santa, shinny hockey, glitter tattoos, and carolers filling the streets with holiday music. Warm up with a stop at the Musée Héritage Museum for a craft and hot beverage in their Discovery Room, or drop by the Art Gallery of St. Albert for free art activities, including a needle-felted ornament craft.

Don't forget to visit Santa's Street Eats, with food trucks and winter treats to keep everyone fueled and cozy — or duck into one of the downtown restaurants for a hot meal along the way.
