Celebrate Alberta Day
Alberta is thrilled to celebrate another memorable Alberta Day this year. On September 2, free public events will take place at Edmonton’s Legislature Grounds and Calgary’s Heritage Park, featuring a concert with folk-rock legends Captain Tractor in Edmonton, and country stars Nice Horse in Calgary. Free Drop in Music Lab for Kid at the Apple Store is a fun, weekly session where kids can drop in and learn new skills. This week, kids can learn how to make a theme song! Create a theme song for your favourite show, book or game using GarageBand on iPad. We’ll cover rhythm basics and kids will get hands-on with experimenting with Smart Drums, adding pre-recorded loops and remixing their theme song. Bring your iPad or we’ll provide one. Recommended for ages 8–12.

Sunday Landmark Cinemas Kids Day Out
Every Sunday at Landmark Cinemas is Kids Day Out. On Kids Day, you can get admission for a movie on the big screen, with a kids snack pack, for only $13. It’s an inexpensive way to bring the kids to the movies, especially if there’s a brand new movie you want to catch on the big screen.

Sheep Leaving Parade in Fort Saskatchewan
It is that bittersweet time of year – the trees change colour and our beloved turf-trimming sheep prepare for their journey home. Join the fun at the Sheep Leaving Parade to bid the woolly Fort Saskatchewan friends farewell. The fun starts at 12pm, so get there early and spend some time with the sheep, take a selfie, and feed them before they’re gone until next year!
