Every Thursday, families are invited to visit the University of Alberta’s Department of Physics Astronomical Observatory for free, drop-in sky viewing. In daytime hours (around 12 – 1 pm) you can safely look at the Sun through special telescopes and learn about sunspots and other solar features.

Last Minute Spring Break Camps with Open Registration

  • Youthwrite is back but this year there’s one-day camps offering young writers and parents the opportunity to take part in an enriching experience where they’ll connect with local authors and sharpen their skillset. Camps are $50/day.

  • Flight Academy Camp at Alberta Aviation Museum Flight Academy is the ultimate camp experience, bringing together the best of all our favourite activities into one exciting week! Campers will dive into the world of aviation through hands-on learning, creativity, and adventure.

  • Mad Science Spring Break Camps One Day science camps at Forest Terrace Heights Community League. Camps are $55/day and can be registered using Eventbrite.

  • Laser City One-day camp. Laser City has one day camps for Minecraft, laser tag and mini paintball open most days through spring break .This full-day camp includes lunch, and is one of the most requested camps to return to by all of the kids on our team!
