8 Places to Watch New Year’s Eve Fireworks in Edmonton

This year, catch New Year’s Eve fireworks returning to downtown, and choose from eight different fireworks shows, at 8 different times, to watch New Year’s Eve fireworks in Edmonton.  

Strathcona County Fireworks - 8PM

The festivities are cancelled but the 8pm fireworks are STILL A GO. You can enjoy the fireworks from your vehicle. It’s an early Fireworks show, and still happening despite the cancellation of the other fun activities planned.

St. Albert Fireworks - 830 PM

STILL ON. Catch a Fireworks show in St. Albert at 8:30, launched from Meadowview Ball Diamonds 1 Meadowview Drive, St. Albert. You can drive to nearby areas for the full show, making it a popular choice for families that want to remain in your vehicle for an early show. Wondering where to watch from? Larry Olexiuk Field parking lot located at 47 Riel Dr., Lions Park located at 21 Sir Winston Churchill Ave., Millennium Park, and Morgan Park located between Mission Ave. and Morgan Crescent., top the list.

New Year’s Eve Skating and Fireworks (Woodcroft) - 9PM

New Years Eve Skating and Fireworks. Join the fun at the local community league with skating during the day, and fireworks early enough for bedtime, starting at 9PM. Fireworks will be launched from 13915 115 Avenue.

Stony Plain Fireworks - 9PM

This year, catch the fireworks in Stony Plain at 9PM. There is no cost to attend, and the fireworks will launch from Heritage Park, in Stony Plain.  Enjoy live music, family cider, popcorn, photo booth, horse-drawn wagons, bonfires, face painting and finally, the fireworks at 9PM. It’s a fun night out with the family at one of the least crowded local festivals.

New Year’s Eve Beach Ball - 12

Catch the only indoor fireworks show in Edmonton at World Waterpark, with the family-friendly New Year’s Eve Party in Edmonton. This event is still happening, and tickets are available, at WEM.ca.

Downtown Edmonton Fireworks - Midnight  CANCELLED

The downtown Edmonton fireworks have been cancelled - better luck next year, city!
