Know Before You Go:

  • Book Early: Sleep-in spots fill up quickly, especially during school breaks. There are currently spaces available February through April - and you can book yours now.

  • Arrival: Check-in is usually in the late afternoon; you’ll want to get there on time so you don’t miss out on any of the programming!

  • What to Bring: Sleeping bag, pillow, snacks, and comfy clothes for exploring. We found the experience on the colder side, so make sure you bring something warm to sleep in - and maybe consider a cot or a sleeping mat for the hard floors!

  • Age: Recommended for kids 7 and up; younger kids might enjoy a daytime visit instead.

  • Food: Dinner and breakfast are usually included, but check the details when booking. Our kids still talk about the snacks - the banana bread was a favourite. Snacks are rotating, and you can see what’s on the menu when you book your sleep-in.

  • Cost: The camp in experience is $54/person 2026 rates

Whether you’re a dinosaur fanatic or just looking for a fun, educational overnight trip, the Sleep In at the Royal Tyrrell Museum is a perfect getaway from Edmonton that your kids will remember for years.
