Fort Edmonton Park Summer Camps are Open for Registration
Day Camps are back at Fort Edmonton Park. This summer, kids aged 6-12 can now embark on a historic journey through immersive, fun and unique summer programs in the park. With four distinct eras and the new Indigenous Peoples Experience to explore, your camper will create lasting memories with new friends.

Summertime Christmas | Ages 6-9
Keep the holiday spirit alive all year! Campers explore global customs and how early Edmontonians celebrated. Activities include baking festive treats from scratch, designing stockings, building old-fashioned toys, and caroling. Join us for games and a jolly good time on the historic streets. July 13-17, 2026 and August 4-7, 2026
Pursuit of Play | Ages 6-9
Get your kids unplugged with games and fun from the past. Explore how kids through the ages made their own fun, from scavenger hunts through our fur trade fort to baseball on 1920s street. Picnics with fresh lemonade and homemade treats will leave them refreshed and ready to play again. A visit to the Johnny J Jones Midway to enjoy carnival rides is the highlight of the week! Adventure at the Fort | Ages 6-9
Explore the 1846 Fort to see what life was like for children in the fur trade. Activities include building a travois, tracking animals, and creating traditional art. Campers also visit the Indigenous Peoples Experience and John Janzen Nature Centre to learn about nature and how animals adapt. July 6-10, 2026 and July 27-31, 2026
Mrs. Egge’s Kitchen Kids | Ages 6-12
Learn the secrets of heritage cooking on a wood-burning stove with Mrs. Egge! Junior bakers create historic sweets and treats throughout the week using historic recipes. After baking, campers explore farm life through games and fun activities on the 1885 street. June 29 - July 3, 2026 and July 6-10, 2026
History Whodunit? | Ages 7-10
An evil time-bandit is messing with history! Campers must interview characters from Edmonton’s past to find clues and right the wrong. Junior historians will create detective tools, crack secret codes, and maintain top-secret files to solve this interactive historical mystery. July 13-17, 2026 and July 27-31, 2026
Edmonton Explorers | 8-11
Experience everything Fort Edmonton Park has to offer. Campers journey from the Indigenous Peoples Experience to the 1920s, participating in era-specific games, crafts, and dances. The adventure includes building historic toys and a fun-filled visit to the rides at the Johnny J Jones Midway! July 6-10, 2026 and July 20-24, 2026.
Our Land Our Stories | Ages 8-11
Explore the Edmonton River Valley through authentic land-based learning. Learners visit the Indigenous Peoples Experience and nature trails to listen to traditional teachings. The week connects campers to our shared history through games, crafts, and stories across historic eras. July 13-17, 2026 and August 4-7, 2026.
Voyageur Adventure | Ages 10-12
Experience the challenging life of a Voyageur! Campers explore the 1846 Fort, learning era-specific skills like fire-building and travois construction. The week includes Indigenous games and a visit to John Janzen Nature Centre to investigate animal habitats and wilderness survival.
