Get Outside and Try the ‘Hockey Putt’ at Miquelon Lake
if you’re looking for a reason to get outside this winter, Miquelon Lake Provincial Park has you covered. From backcountry adventures to playful competitions like hockey putt, there’s something for every single member of your family this winter.
Hockey Putt, Crokicurl and Skating at Miquelon Lake
Group Use Area 6 is a winter hotspot, featuring a full-sized skating rink, a crokicurl court (that’s crokinole meets curling!), and a hockey putt course for all ages. When it’s time to warm up, the cozy picnic shelter — with a wood stove and nearby fire pits — makes for a perfect place to warm up.
Prefer hitting the trails? Bundle up and explore the winter walking paths or glide along the cross-country ski trails. And for those who love the outdoors year-round, the campground stays open all winter with powered sites for comfortable cold-weather camping. Snowshoeing is available on backcountry trails, Holdsworth Trail and the Shoreline Path.
Before you head out, check the Miquelon Trail Report for current conditions and use the Winter Activities Map below to plan your day. Winter at Miquelon Lake has never looked better.
