GUIDE: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Events in Edmonton
Monday, September 30, 2025, is a really important day for all of us. It’s the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation — a time to pause, reflect, and stand in solidarity with our Indigenous communities. On this federal holiday, government offices, schools, and many businesses will be closed so we can honour the survivors, children, families, and communities affected by residential schools—especially remembering those who never made it home.
Taking part in this day is such an important step toward reconciliation. One simple way you can show your support is by wearing your orange shirt. Even better, consider joining one of the many meaningful events happening in your community. It’s a small gesture that carries so much love and respect.
