NAIT Offers LOW COST Teeth Cleaning for Kids and Teens Aged 6 to 18
NAIT’s Dental Assisting program provides teeth cleaning and fluoride application to kids and teens aged 6 to 18. It's only $30 per kid/teen and $50 per family with two or more kids/teens in the same household. Appointments are only offered during the month of May.
Things to know before booking your appointment:
The NAIT Dental clinic is a teaching institution and appointments may take up to three hours. Be prepared for a bit of a wait - though we didn’t have more than a 20 minute wait for the appointment. The appointment for each kid took just under an hour, when we arrived.
NAIT clinic is a high stimulus environment where it is noisy, bright and involves many care providers interacting with the patient. Prepare your children for this.
To support the safety and wellbeing of patients and student care providers, children must be able to follow instructions and sit still for the duration of the appointment without parental guidance, assistance or supervision. This was important, as when we tried the service - there wasn’t space for the parents to join in, sitting alongside the children.
NAIT is unable to provide teeth cleaning services for patients older than 18 and those with orthodontic treatments such as braces or Invisalign. Keep this in mind if you’re looking for a low-cost teeth cleaning clinic - but your child has orthodontics.
