Pritchard Holiday Magic Is Open for the Season

The wait is over. Pritchard Holiday Magic has flipped the switch on its 2026 Halloween display, and this north Edmonton yard is officially ready to spook.

This isn't a drive-by-and-wave kind of house. It's a walk-through display, so you and the kids can get right up close to the creatures. The family behind it has been building all year, and this season brings new surprises alongside returning favourites.

If their poster is any hint, expect a full-on haunted scene: skeleton pirates at the ship's wheel, a giant red-eyed spider, gargoyles perched on tombstones, and a skeletal horse-drawn carriage straight out of a haunted mansion. Add a graveyard, glowing jack-o'-lanterns, and a few top-hatted skeletons, and you've got serious photo-op material. It leans spooky, so give little ones a heads-up before you arrive. Holding a grown-up's hand past the grim reaper counts as bravery.

The display is open nightly from 6 to 10 PM, but it really comes alive once it's dark. In September, that means heading over later in the evening. As October nights get longer, you can go right after supper and still catch everything lit up. Pyjamas under costumes are strongly recommended for the drive home.

The family asks visitors to stay on the designated paths and respect the display, so remind the kids before you walk in: look with your eyes, not your hands. It's open weather permitting, so check their Facebook page before heading out on a rainy or windy night. And if you see the family out front, say thanks. This is their Halloween tradition, and they're sharing it with all of us.

The "holiday" in the name is a clue, too. Pritchard Holiday Magic transforms again for Christmas, so bookmark this one for December.
