The Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF) is Canada's national celebration of youth scientific excellence, and in 2026 it returns to Edmonton. Hosted at the Edmonton EXPO Centre and the University of Alberta! This week-long event brings together 400 of Canada's top young scientists in grades 7–12, selected from approximately 20,000 students who competed at 100 regional science fairs across the country.
Witness the future of STEM through the eyes of our youth. From groundbreaking research to inventive solutions, each project at the CWSF is a window into the incredible potential of our nation's young scientists.
Public visitors are welcome at the Edmonton EXPO Centre on three days, free of charge. On Sunday, Thursday, and Friday, you can walk the project hall and talk directly with finalists as they present original research spanning fields like environmental science, health, engineering, technology, and more. On Thursday and Friday, the STEM Expo runs alongside the project hall, featuring interactive booths from 50+ universities, research institutions, and organizations!
