Visit Santa and Buddy the Elf at Maisie’s Magical Christmas House on November 22

Maisie’s Magical Christmas House is one of Canada’s most elaborate and most heavily decorated private Christmas displays. Located in north Edmonton, this house has grown into a long-running community tradition since it started in 2004. Thousands of lights, props, animatronics, and themed characters make it one of the most recognized holiday displays in the city.

Maisie’s Magical Christmas House Opens for the Season November 22, 2025

For the opening night on Saturday, November 22, Maisie’s will have a special character event from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Families can take free photos with Santa, Buddy the Elf, and Mr. Grinch. This is a one-day only visit, with Buddy the Elf travelling from Fort McMurray to join Santa and the Grinch for the evening!

Maisie’s has partnered with SCARS (Second Chance Animal Rescue Society). A SCARS volunteer will be on site with one of their rescue dogs during the opening night, and will be accepting donations to support their work. SCARS is a no-kill, non-profit animal rescue organization based in Edmonton and Athabasca, placing animals in foster homes rather than shelters.
