Maisie's Magical Christmas House has a spooky side, and it's back.
Before the Christmas lights take over, this north Edmonton house trades candy canes for skeletons, monsters, and a yard full of Halloween magic. The gates open to the public starting late September, and it's completely free.
Maisie's is an Edmonton holiday institution. The house is named for the owner's late mother, and the family pours an unbelievable amount of love (and cash) into it every year. For Halloween, that has meant over $30,000 worth of displays, all lit up and ready to glow after dark.
Go once the sun is down so the whole thing is lit. Bring the family, bring your phone, and plan to take approximately 400 photos in front of the skeletons.
Maisie's has a long tradition of supporting the Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS). Entry is free, but guests are encouraged to bring a donation for the rescue. It's an easy way to turn a fun night out into a good deed.
Make it a full spooky night
Maisie's is a perfect anchor stop for a Halloween house crawl. Check the Edmonton Halloween House Map for more decorated homes nearby, pour the hot chocolate, and make an evening of it.
