Each Thursday, families are invited to visit the University of Alberta’s Department of Physics Astronomical Observatory for free, drop-in sky viewing. In daytime hours (around 12 – 1 pm) you can safely look at the Sun through special telescopes and learn about sunspots and other solar features.
