Head to the Beaumont Fire Hall on Saturday, October 3 for a free, family-friendly Fire Prevention Open House hosted by Beaumont Fire Services and the City of Beaumont, running from 11 am to 1 pm.
This year's Fire Prevention Week theme, "Charge Into Fire Safety: Safe Charging is a Superpower," focuses on everyday battery charging habits that help reduce the risk of lithium-ion battery fires — great, practical info for the whole family.
Kids will love the photobooth with Sparky, fire truck tours, and a kid-friendly obstacle course, plus interactive stations and craft activities to keep little hands busy. There will also be live fire and equipment demonstrations, and free hot dogs and burgers to fuel up the fun.
Bonus: you'll learn how to safely charge and recycle lithium-ion batteries, a handy skill for any household.
