Winterval turns 104 Street into a winter block party, Downtown Edmonton’s cozy kickoff to the holiday season.

Kids can play street hockey on a mini rink and grab free maple taffy from Canadian Maple Shack while it lasts. Santa is taking photos in Beaver Hills House Park, and pets are welcome in the frame. Roving performers and the 16-voice a cappella group E-Town Extended add to the fun along the way.

For grown-ups, the Après Ski Zone brings DJs, dancing and giveaways, and the street-wide winter patio lets you sip a drink from participating businesses while you explore. Wood-burning fire pits and the Tunnel of Light are there for warming up and snapping photos.
