Downtown Edmonton's corniest tradition returns for its 27th year. CornFest is a free, family-friendly celebration hosted by the Downtown Edmonton Community League, marking the end of summer with corn on the cob and neighbourhood spirit right in the heart of the core.
The afternoon brings live music, face painting, bubble magic, and character appearances, plus activities led by the YMCA team. Credo coffee and free corn are on hand while supplies last, so it's worth showing up early.
New and renewing DECL members get a bonus spin to win gift cards from local downtown businesses, making it a good excuse to sign up on the spot.
CornFest takes place at Beaver Hills House Park, 10440 Jasper Ave, on September 12.
