Got a kid who hums the intro to every show they watch? This free hour-long workshop at Apple West Edmonton lets them write a theme song of their own using GarageBand on iPad.
Kids pick a favourite show, book or game to score, learn the basics of rhythm, try out drum beats, and layer in prerecorded loops before remixing the finished track.
It's best for ages 8 to 12. Bring your own iPad or borrow one in-store. A parent or guardian needs to register and stay for the whole session, and spots are limited, so book ahead.
