This free Culture Days event invites visitors to explore the public art collection at the Community Centre, guided by a knowledgeable host. Highlights include a hand-painted mural by Denesuline artist Alex Janvier, slumped glass murals by Manola Borrajo-Giner, a lenticular print by Chelsea Boida and Mark Feddes, an abstract steel sculpture by Catherine Burgess, Walter Jule, and Royden Mills, and a new mural by Dene artist Bruno Canadien.
The tour begins at the main Gallery@501 entrance, and visitors can pair it with a nearby Festival Place Theatre tour along Strathcona County's Prairie Walk for a full morning of culture. Advance registration is required through Recreation Online or by calling 780-410-8575. This event is presented in partnership with Alberta Culture Days.
