Grab the kids and head south of the Telus World of Science for a free evening under the stars. Edmonton RASC opens up its observatory so families can look at the Moon through real telescopes — no experience or equipment needed.
Weather permitting, volunteers will have scopes set up and ready, and some RASC members bring their own telescopes too, so there's usually more than one view to line up for. It's a great one for kids curious about space, with knowledgeable volunteers on hand to answer questions and point things out.
Bundle up, since evenings can get cool, and check RASC's site the day of in case weather pushes things.
