Indigo is kicking off the holiday season with a weekend of storytimes, toy testing and hands-on building for kids.
Saturday starts in the kids' section with the Kids' Best of the Year Spotlight, featuring live storytimes, activities and a chance for kids to write a review of their favourite new book to be displayed in store. In the afternoon, the Toy Test Lab lets kids try out the season's newest toys, which is handy for anyone who has started on a wish list. Both Saturday events are free with no reservation needed and are suited to ages 3 and up.
Sunday has two make-and-take sessions. At Create Your World (ages 5+), kids unbox and build a surprise Nook Nooks collectible and put together their own Sticker Therapy scene. Under the Sea Adventure (ages 3+) has young builders making sea creatures with MAGNA-TILES, and each child goes home with an octopus figure.
The Sunday sessions cost $5 per child, and each child gets a $5 Indigo gift card back at the event. Spaces are limited, so book ahead through Ticketscene. Parents and siblings who aren't taking part don't need a reservation. Please arrive 10 minutes early.
