My Son The Hurricane takes the stage in Edmonton this Sunday, July 13th with guests Yukon youth band, Cows Go Moo and local Edmonton funk band, StoneJoy. Tickets are on sale now for the all ages show for $20 (or $25 at the door).
My Son the Hurricane is a multi-horn, multi-drummer, multi-singer brass funk beast from Niagara, ON. The 12-piece brass-dance crew has toured over multiple countries and played some of Canada, USA, UK, Scandinavia, Belgium, Mexico, Lithuania, and France’s biggest festivals. The band features trumpets, saxophones, trombones, drums, guitar, keys, percussion and a wild front woman… we dare you not to dance!
In 2023, My Son the Hurricane’s “Mr. Holland’s Locust” received over 30 million views online. In 2025, the band will take on an over 70-date Canada, United States and Europe-wide tour with new singer Sarah Faz. They’ve shared the stage with acts like Foo Fighters, Jason Isbell, I Mother Earth and Colin James.
Cows Go Moo is a six-piece band carrying the torch for the next generation of rockers and live music enthusiasts. This touring youth band has been playing festival's since they were 10. The bands has been mentored by Speed Control front man Graeme Peters, bringing stage presence and professionalism well beyond their years. The act has evolved into a full stage experience complete with dancing cows on-stage. The band's repertoire includes a full set of original music plus some crowd rocking covers.
StoneJoy is a 7-piece funk-fusion band from Edmonton bringing bold, high-energy, all-instrumental grooves to every stage. With trombones, saxes, guitar, bass, drums, and keytar, their genre-bending sound blends funk, soul, jazz, and rock into something truly electric. Fresh off shows at North Country Fair and opening for The Free Label, StoneJoy is a band on the rise — and they’re just getting started.
