Participants can fold, stitch, and decorate their own softcover notebook at this Alberta Craft Council workshop in O-day'min Park, inspired by A Visible Mass, Sanaz Mazinani's colourful public artwork installed in the park. Working with cloud-shaped paper cutouts drawn from the sculpture's palette, attendees build a single-signature journal small enough for a bag or pocket, ideal for sketching or note-taking. All materials are provided. The workshop is led by Dawn Woolsey, an Edmonton-based book artist and educator with more than four decades in graphic design, printmaking, and papermaking, who also teaches bookbinding at SNAP and community art programs at Wellspring. Participants under 14 must attend with a parent or legal guardian.
