Mid-Autumn Festival at the Chinese Garden

  • 9999 Grierson Hill Northwest Edmonton, Alberta, T5H 2G3 Canada (map)

Lanterns, mooncakes, and a splash of culture along the riverfront — this Mid-Autumn Festival celebration brings the whole family down to the Chinese Garden for an afternoon of colour and tradition.

Wander through a lantern parade, sample mooncakes, and settle in for a lineup of ethnocultural performances set against the backdrop of the Garden's pavilions and the river valley beyond.

The event takes place at the Edmonton Chinese Garden in Louise McKinney Riverfront Park. Parking is free, courtesy of Explore Edmonton, so it's an easy one to just show up to.
