Kick off the new year at the PLHDR Kick-Off to 2026 on January 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, at the ranch just south of Pigeon Lake Provincial Park (465041 Range Rd 20, County of Wetaskiwin No. 10). This cozy, family-friendly Daytime Sleigh Ride Open House invites guests to enjoy a relaxed winter experience at the ranch, meet the horses, and take part in 30-minute mixed-company daytime sleigh rides, offered on a first-come, first-served basis with up to 12 guests per sleigh.
Warm up by one of three firepits—bring your own treats to roast—and enjoy free hot cocoa, popcorn, and maple sugar sticks. Guests can also take advantage of 10% off all items in the Ranch Store. Sleigh rides are $10 per person for ages 10 and up, $5 for children ages 4–9, and free for ages 3 and under (lap seating required). This open house is the perfect way to experience PLHDR during the day and learn more about our popular evening Light Night Sleigh Rides.
