Workshop (12+) Learn to Make Mittens

  • Steele Heights Community League (map)

Join us once again for an evening of learning the skills and techniques for making cozy mittens out of upcycled fabric. This event will take place at the Steele Height Community Hall (5825 140 Ave Edmonton) on February 19th from 7:30pm-9pm.

Our goal is to create a bundle of mittens that will be donated to a local organization named SMILE: a volunteer based group that sends a crew onto the streets of Edmonton weekly with supplies to distribute to our neighbours in need. As the winter persists, they are in need of more donations of mittens to help keep folks warm through this chilly season.

No previous experience required, all skills and abilities are welcome. There’s a role for everyone to help with but we do suggest attendees be at least 12 years old.
