Historical Children's Program (HCP) Summer Day Camp at Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village
A summer day camp built for kids who want to dive into culture, history, and more! Children will enjoy an educational and active week of the Historical Children's Program, making new friends, learning about Ukrainian culture, exploring the Ukrainian Village, and indulging in cultural games and crafts.
Summer Camp Programming
Historical Pioneer Life | Building a burdei (pioneer shelter) and interacting with farm animals, with children welcome to wear historical costumes if they wish.
Village Exploration | Visiting interpreters throughout the Ukrainian Village for interactive, hands-on activities.
Traditional Craft & Art | Pysanka writing, Ukrainian dance, and other cultural crafts woven throughout the week.

Dates: Select weeks in August 2026
Week 1: July 20-24 | bussing from North Edmonton (CYM – Ukrainian Youth Unity Complex) and Sherwood Park (Heartland Alliance Church)
Week 2: July 27-31 | bussing from Vegreville and Mundare (Vegreville Garden Inn)
Week 3: August 10-14 | bussing from Sherwood Park (Heartland Alliance Church)
Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday
Ages: 6-12
Price: $275 per child
Transportation: Provided to and from select locations (varies by week); families may also drive their children directly and register for any week
