Marquis Yalp Memo Park
Introduction to Yalp Memo Park
This park is a really cool modern playground in the Marquis neighbourhood in northeast Edmonton. The standout feature is something called the YalpMemo, which is an interactive play system where kids run between lit-up posts that give sounds, games, and challenges. It turns the whole space into a mix of physical activity and “follow-the-game” style fun instead of just standard slides and swings.
Alongside that, there’s also a tall climbing structure, slides, swings, and a musical merry-go-round that actually lights up and plays music when you spin it. There’s even a toddler area and shaded picnic-style seating, so it works well for different ages and for families hanging out longer.
It feels less like a traditional playground and more like a mix between a park and an interactive game space, designed to get kids moving, thinking, and playing together.
