Most City of Edmonton outdoor pools aren’t free — they’re pay-to-enter or included with rec memberships. Spray parks around the city are the free splash option. In previous years, there have been free admisison offers children for outdoor pools but currently, in 2026 - there is no offer available.
Which pool has a waterslide?
Fred Broadstock Pool, Mill Creek and Queen Elizabeth Pool have waterslides — big hit with kids, long line on hot days, obviously. These waterslides are smaller scale, and not like the larger, double slides at Waterparks near Edmonton like Blackfalds Abbey Centre.
Is Borden Natural Pool chlorine-free?
Yep! It’s a natural, chemical-free pool with filtered water. Super unique and a bit different than a regular pool setup. You’ll need special sunscreen, without phosphates for this pool. You’ll also find the poo is on the colder side - as it’s one of the only pools in Edmonton that isn’t heated.
