  For just $2, you can enjoy a relaxing dip in the pool on Friday and Saturday, during Drop in Toonie swim time at Eastglen Leisure Centre. • FREE Film Screening: Songs of Kamui
  More than anything, brilliant Teru longs to attend school with other girls. But in early 20th-century Japan, Teru is excluded, because she is Ainu. Instead of writing, the Ainu—an indigenous people from Japan’s Hokkaido island—pass down their traditions through yukar (oral poems). When Teru meets a Tokyo professor who has devoted his life to decoding yukar, Teru discovers a chance not only to prove her brilliance but to rewrite the fate of the Ainu. Based on a true story. • The Big Little Concert at Whitemud Library
  Join Beppie, Seeka Sings, and Beth Portman for an unforgettable musical experience that the whole family will enjoy. Live Music, dancing, singing, and crafting right in the heart of the Whitemud Crossing Library. 

• Take a Spring Gallery Walk on 124 Street
  Spring Gallery Walk is Back Join the commercial galleries of 124 Street & Area for their seasonal gallery walk featuring new exhibitions. Saturday, April 18th, follows individual gallery hours, and Sunday, April 19th, runs from noon to 4pm. This is a free event! Enjoy a collection of different art exhibitions. While you’re in the neighbourhood, come dine in, shop, and explore our local 124 Street & Area businesses.

• FREE Family Nature Walk with Nature Alberta
  Join Nature Alberta as we get in touch with the natural world all around us! Family Nature Walks are opportunities for families to get outdoors and, guided by expert naturalists, learn more about the wild species that we live alongside.

• City of Edmonton Play Rangers: GPS, Geocaching & Orienteering
  Want to play with a GPS, maybe look to see if you can find a Geocache or even learn a little about maps? If you do, come check us out, GPS will be provided for the program.

• Zine Fest at Stanley Milner Library
  Join the All Starz Zine Project and Creating Hope Society for their ZINE FEST! featuring young writers and artists from Edmonton and area as well as other local zine makers.   There is no registration or payment required for Michaels Kids Club. This week, Come in for a free Kids Club event! Kids can make a clay creature you can use to rest your pencil or paintbrush on!

  We invite kids ages 6–10 and their families to imagine what kindness means to them by making their own interactive storybook on iPad. They’ll draw, record sounds, add fun 3D shapes and more as they dive into the world of creative storytelling. Devices will be provided.
