Every Wednesday is Pay What You Can Night for Oh, Anne! at Roxy Theatre

Looking for an affordable family night out this fall? Every Wednesday, Theatre Network's Roxy Theatre is offering Pay What You Can tickets to see Oh, Anne! — a fast-paced, funny stage adaptation of the beloved Anne of Green Gables.

This East Coast-flavoured retelling brings Avonlea to life with fiddle music, quick costume changes, and a whole lot of heart. Four high-energy performers take on dozens of characters, so there's plenty to keep kids and adults entertained for the show's 90-minute run (no intermission, so plan accordingly with little ones). It's rated for all ages.

Pay What You Can Wednesdays: September 16, 23, and 30, and October 7 and 14

This production uses water-based haze and fog, so it's worth knowing ahead of time if that's a consideration for your family.

Pay What You Can nights are a great way to introduce kids to live theatre without a big financial commitment — and with a story as familiar and charming as Anne's, it's an easy sell for first-timers. Tickets start at $2, $10 and $25 for your contribution for the pay what you can tickets in Edmonton. Purchase your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment at the box office.
