The Wait Is Over: Ice Castles Return to Edmonton in 2025

After a multi-year absence, Edmonton’s winter magic is about to get a spectacular upgrade — Ice Castles is returning to our city this season. For those who’ve missed wandering through tunnels of ice, lighting up frozen fountains, or sitting beneath glowing icicle towers — the wait is finally over.

In recent years, the beloved Ice Castles attraction did not make its way back to Edmonton — a disappointment to many winter-lovers and families. The frosty fortress and iconic winter adventure returns to Edmonton for 2025.

Tickets will go on sale for Ice Castles December 2, 2025. You can buy tickets for the attraction that includes ice tunnels, caverns, pillars, slides and fun features to explore during winter in Edmonton.

  Walk through meandering corridors of ice that twist, turn, and reveal surprises as you walk around the corner. Visit at night for a completely different, lit-up experience.

  As day fades into night, dynamic lighting embedded in the ice ramps up the enchantment — saturated hues, twinkling accents, and shifting shades transform the entire installation.

• Frozen Ice-Themed Photo Ops and Special Events
  Many versions have included a “throne” of ice, perfect for selfies and memorable winter portraits. You'll find special events popping up through the winter.

• Weather-dependent season
  Ice Castles Edmonton will likely open in early January and (weather permitting) remains open through late February or early March - as long as the weather allows.
