Rocketship Park Playground
Introduction to Rocketship Park
The giant tri-coloured rocket steals the show with the three-storey tower, which makes this Edmonton's tallest playground, and it's fitting for the theme. But the rocket isn't the whole story. Look closer and you can see how much thought went into making this a place kids actually want to stay for hours.
The dome climber is one of the coolest climbing pieces in the city with a web of ropes with colourful orbs inside. The toddler area is genuinely exceptional, with a lunar rover to drive, a pile of moon rocks to scramble over, and an astronaut cutout that's built for photos. And there's a lovely bit of history: the original red rocket is still standing in its old spot.
It's also one of the most inclusive playgrounds in Edmonton, and it sits right beside a sledding hill — making it one of our kids top picks for all season and winter playgrounds in Edmonton.
