It’s coming into winter registration season and we’ve got a cool club for your radar: 4H Intro Club. Designed for youth ages 9-15, they’ll spend the six week session trying new projects and experiences: from pottery, engineering, growing micro greens and more. • Try Ice Biking and Kick Sledding
  This year, the city of Edmonton has adjusted their group bookings for the ice bikes to include individual, $20 rentals for one hour. You can learn the basics and then hit the ice with the kids to experience ice in a brand new way.

• See ‘Elephants: Giants of the Dessert’ in IMAX
  Join Little Foot and her elephant family as they brave the harsh Namib Desert in Southwest Africa and embark on a journey to an oasis that remains green even through the toughest times. • Drop-in Play Cafe and Toy Library
  Welcome to Play Cafe, the ultimate free hangout spot for families and caregivers with little ones aged 0-6! Swing by for a chat, sip on some coffee, and let your kiddos make new pals while diving into a treasure trove of fun toys.

• Drop in Observing at UofA Observatory
  At lunchtime, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, the observatory opens its solar telescopes for safe viewing of the Sun. Kids can see real sunspots and learn firsthand about the powerful energy that keeps life going on Earth. It’s a refreshing mid-day break from the long winter indoors, and staff are on-site to explain what’s happening on the surface of our closest star.
